Join the effort to transform Mid-Market Street by creating a new theater district there.

We have issued the second edition of the Mid-Market Marquee newsletter. Take a look. It's full of interesting developments on mid-Market St.

Like Don Quixote, we are pursuing an (almost) impossible dream: the creation of a new theater district on the great boulevard of San Francisco, Market Street. Not just any part of our main drag, but the part that is in pretty bad shape. In fact, the addition of 4,5, or 6 small to mid-sized, off-B’way style theaters may just be the tipping point for the street, transforming it into a walk-able, safe, and attractive thoroughfare.

We are on a mission and I have started an email newsletter and a Facebook Page to keep you informed and invite your ideas and involvement. Together, we can make this happen! Most importantly, I believe we will not only change the street environment, but more importantly to me, we will transform theater as we know it in San Francisco. With a critical mass of theaters, 100-300 seats, in one highly accessible location, we will see a new interest in live theater, a new growth, and a new excitement among residents and visitors. Stay tuned. Contact me with your ideas. Let's change San Francisco.
